Teacher Training

The majority of our courses are individually designed to suit client’s requirements and are taught on a one-to-one basis or in small groups in our training suite in Biggin Hill airport. However, our trainers can travel to deliver our bespoke training courses in clients offices, both in the UK and abroad.

Teacher Training English for Aviation has been designed for English language teachers who wish to undertake language training specifically for Aviation. Minimum requirement for acceptance on the course is CELTA or Trinity Cert and a university degree.

Our Teacher Training includes outline of operational procedures, airport layouts, theoretical and practical elements of Radiotelephony (R/T). The course focuses on Language Proficiency Requirements as per Document 9835 and methodology of teaching English to pilots and air traffic controllers. The course also covers such topics as teaching to the ICAO descriptors, trainees’ level assessment, monitoring trainees’ progress and lessons planning.

The course includes Aviation English workshop focusing on non-routine situations such as runway incursion, bird strike, emergency procedures.

The course fees quoted apply to courses conducted in the UK only. The fees for overseas courses are available on request. All fees include extensive tuition, teaching materials, course textbooks where appropriate, course registration fee and end of course certificate.
