English for Pilots & Air Traffic Controllers
The majority of our courses are individually designed to suit client’s requirements and are taught on a one-to-one basis or in small groups in our training suite in Biggin Hill airport. However, our trainers can travel to deliver our bespoke training courses in clients offices, both in the UK and abroad.
In line with the ICAO directives (as specified in ICAO Document 9835 ‘Manual on Implementation of Language Proficiency Requirements’ Airlingua International Ltd offers language training for pilots and ATCOs leading to attainment of the required operational Level 4 (or higher) on the ICAO English Language Proficiency Scale.
The courses are designed following a written and oral assessment as well as completion of a needs analysis sheet with a view to meeting the trainee’s individual requirements.
The courses are focused on improving trainees’ ability to communicate in an aviation environment with particular reference to ICAO descriptors: vocabulary, interaction, structure, pronunciation, fluency and comprehension.
All aspects of the language are taught in the context of aviation.
